iRest Yoga Nidra

Based on the ancient teachings of meditation, iRest Yoga Nidra®  is an evidence-based mind-body transformative practice that leads to psychological, physical, and spiritual healing and well-being.

iRest meditation is integrative as it heals the various unresolved issues and traumas that are present in your body and mind, and restorative as it enables you to recognize your innate peace of mind that is always present amidst all changing circumstances of life.

iRest provides you with tools to help you relax deeply, release stress, increase resiliency, improve your interpersonal relationships and provide you with greater mastery and control in your life.

WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN iREST YOGA NIDRA AND EMBODIED REST?

Embodied Rest and iRest Yoga Nidra are similar in that they’re both usually practiced lying down in a supported and comfortable position.

iRest Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation practice developed by Clinical Psychology and Yogic Scholar Richard Miller.  In an iRest class with me, I spend about half the class talking about the theme of the class and facilitating a discussion, and half the class guiding you through a meditation practice.

Embodied Rest is a deep relaxation practice that I developed myself after years of teaching yoga, meditation and relaxation, that draws on the teachings and practices of iRest, mindfulness, Restorative Yoga, and pranayama (breath training).  There is very minimal talking in the class and luxury of spacious deep relaxation.

iREST MEDITATION ONLINE

I also offer this course in an online format. This course is great if you’re not living locally, if you can’t make the dates/times, or if you prefer the flexibility and delivery of the online learning environment.  If you’d like to find out more, please visit www.meditationpuresimple.com.

PREPARING FOR THE iREST COURSE

Please wear something comfortable.  The only yoga posture we’ll be doing is supported savasana (lying down in a comfortable position).

Mats, blankets, bolsters and eye pillows are provided.  However you may like to bring your own.

For the comfort of everyone, please do not wear strong scents or perfumes.

You are welcome to arrive 5 minutes before the beginning of class, to settle in and so we can start on time.

THE FINE PRINT

Payment for the full course is required to secure your place.

Notice of two weeks (before the first day of the course) is required to receive a refund for the course, minus a $50 admin fee.

Notice of one week (before the first day of the course) is required to receive a refund of 50% of the cost of the course.

No refund will be given with less than one weeks notice of cancellation (before the first day of the course).

There are no charges if you want to transfer your place to another person (but please let me know, and they’ll still need to complete the necessary registration form).

Claiming the Medicare rebate is your responsibility.  Please note that Medicare will only provide a rebate for the sessions you actually attend (so if you miss a session, you will not receive the rebate for that day).
