A merry connected Christmas

by | Dec 24, 2012 | Uncategorized

Yesterday I joined in the festivities at the Uplift Festival in Byron Bay.  I was inspired as I listened to a group of elders and young people from around the world speak about their vision for the future.  The resounding themes were of respect for the earth and for each other.  I particularly noticed the respect that the presenters had for each other, the old for the young, and the young for the old.  They embodied their message.

One local girl spoke about her one wish for the world.  That we would all feel deeply connected to mother earth and to each other.  This really resonated with me.  I truly believe that if we can truly feel a deep running connection with life, and drop, just for a moment, our sense of separation, then we will be happier and the world will be better a place for it.
So here is my wish for Christmas.  For you and for me.  May we be deeply connected.  May we let go, even if just for a moment, our ideas of our separateness.  May we feel our roots deeply in mother earth.  May we respect and nurture ourselves, all living beings and the earth, for we are one.
Merry Christmas beautiful people.  Blessings x
