Supervision and Mentoring
I love working with people interested in integrating yoga and psychology. I’ve spent nearly two decades walking this path and it’s an honour to share what I’ve learnt and to support others to find their own path in this exciting and growing field.
Nearly every week I get a message from some delightful person asking for advice about how to integrate the worlds of Western Psychology and Yoga.
My first response is always that there is no one pathway. And that’s a good thing!
Let’s work together to support you to find YOUR way.
I offer professional supervision for Psychologists, Counsellors, Social Workers and other Mental Health Professionals, for professional development, CPD and/or accreditation.
I’m a Psychology Board of Australia approved supervisor, and offer Supervision for the AHPRA Clinical Psychology Registrar program and the Transition Program for overseas Psychologists seeking registration in Australia.
I’m available for mentoring for Psychologists, Counsellors, Social Workers and other Mental Health Professionals interested integrating yoga and meditation into their clinical practice.
I’m also available for mentoring with Yoga Teachers and Yoga Therapists working with individuals experiencing mental health concerns.
SUPERVISION OR MENTORING?
Supervision is an important part of growing as a therapist and meeting your ethical and CPD requirements. As therapists, we ALL need supervision. The first step in supervision is getting to know each other to see if we’re a good fit, from both a personal and professional perspective. We’ll review your intentions, expectations and desired outcomes for supervision, and we’ll see if we’re a good match.
If we decide to go ahead with supervision, we’ll decide on the agenda for our sessions together. This usually involves exploring your self care, case discussion and formulation, ethical issues, self reflection, takeaways and if supervision is for meeting board requirements, we’ll make sure we have that covered too.
Mentoring is similar but somewhat different from supervision. Mentoring for Psychologists and Mental Health Professionals is more about focussing on you and your career, rather than on your clients or to meet any external board requirements. Psychologists, student and intern Psychologists and Mental Health Professionals often come to me asking questions about the best ways to integrate yoga and meditation into their clinical practice, and in mentoring sessions we can explore this together.
Mentoring for Yoga Teachers and Therapists is an opportunity to explore how to best support their students experiencing mental health concerns.
$190 per 50 min session.
For Australians, supervision sessions that are required for ‘entry to the profession’ are GST-free. All other supervision, mentoring, report writing and liaison attract an additional 10% GST.
No GST is payable for those outside of Australia.
