THE WAY I WORK
In my counselling sessions, I aim to create a safe and inspiring space to explore what is going on for you. My focus is not just on helping you to overcome the difficulties that you are facing, but also to support you in living vibrantly, meaningfully and passionately. I believe in living a life that is authentic, compassionate, mindful, wholehearted and joyful, and I carry this through into my work.
In my sessions I draw from my the traditions of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy and Yoga Therapy (including iRest Yoga Nidra®). I have trained extensively in all of these areas.
I see my role as helping you find your way in overcoming obstacles and creating the kind of life you want to lead. I won’t tell you what to do or make your decisions for you. I will listen, non-judgmentally and compassionately, and support you on your journey.
Research has shown that one of the most successful ingredients in counselling is the therapeutic relationship. I encourage you to read though my website and see if you think we might work well together. It is important that you find a Counsellor that fits with you.

$210 per 50 minute session for individuals.
For Australians with a Mental Health Care Plan and a referral from your GP or Psychiatrist, you can claim a Medicare rebate of $128.50 per session ($81.50 gap), for up to 10 sessions in a calendar year.
The Medicare rebate is available for face-to-face sessions, and for a number of online (e.g. Zoom) sessions for those living in regional, rural and remote regions in Australia. Read more about the Medicare rebate here.
If you have private health insurance, you may be able to claim our sessions. Speak to your insurer directly about seeing a Clinical Psychologist. I can provide a detailed receipt that you can take to your insurer.
Sessions paid by organisations are $254 per 50 minute session.
A $50 deposit is required to book your session.
